Virtual Exhibitions of Children Art by Jardin Galerie, New York and Experience Workshop, Hungary

Borbála Kocsis, 8, ANK-Pécs. Teacher: Éva Hajnal. Photo: László Tóth.

Jardin Galerie and Experience Workshop celebrate the holiday with two exhibitions of children’s drawings: the first from Keszthely, Hungary and the second from Pécs, Hungary.

Keszthely is a Hungarian city of 20,895 inhabitants located on the western shore of Lake Balaton. It’s the largest city by the lake and one of the more important cultural, educational and economic hubs in the region. Teacher Éva Kovacs sent 27 paintings of TREES from her 17 students. All of the works are quite interesting and beautiful. The children drew their personal vision of The Tree of Life; in addition they drew an interpretation of a tree drawn under the influence of Vincent Van Gogh.

Éva Hajnal is a teacher from Apáczai Primary School in Pécs, Hungary. Éva sent images of 44 children’s drawings of TREES (photographed by László Tóth), many of them quite remarkable, but all stunning and precious. Pécs is the fifth largest city in Hungary, located on the slopes of the Mecsek mountains in the south-west of the country, close to its border with Croatia.

You can also read painter and Jardin Galerie director John Hiigli’s comments about some of the most striking works, many of which have strong math/art content.
