“Traveling Bridges” Experience Workshop’s International Collection of Mathematical Art was established in 2016, based on the donations of Bridges Finland 2016‘s art exhibition’s participants. The core collection contains more than 50 individual pieces by artists from all over the world. Now, the collection is constantly growing and accepting donated mathematical artworks all the time.

The pieces in our collection drew inspiration from the mathematics of fractals, polyhedra, non-Euclidean and four-dimensional geometry, tiling, knot theory, number theory, and more… Katie McCallum and Robert Fathauer served as co-curators of the original Bridges Finland 2016 exhibition, and were joined by Conan Chadbourne and Karl Kattchee to make up the jury.
